If never been issued with a DQC for PCV (or LGV) then with grandfather rights you can do either mods 2 & 4 or the 35 hours to get your first 5 year DQC and if anyone says different then they need to check the facts with the DVSA driver cpc hotline

I checked with the trainer, he says that he´d have to get a truck in for me to do the walk around and show me tell me, and that they wouldn´t do that.
He did seem quite interested in me just doing the 2 and 4 until he realised he´d have to hire the truck.
