WTD Question

Morning all,

As I mentioned in a previous post, I was planning on registering with an agency to do some class 2 work on my rest days just to get some experience while I wait to do class 1 in the summer. But I have a question regarding WTD rules.

My permanent full time job is as a bus driver, which is done on GB domestic hours. All of our duties have a 90 minute unpaid break - I know this bit doesn’t count towards the average 48 hour week - and most duties the break is longer but as anything over 90 minutes is paid, it’s shown on our duty cards as “Stand By”. As this stand by time is listed on the duty card as a set period of time, can it, for WTD purposes, be considered as POA because the length of the stand by time is known in advance?

Thanks
Steve

Domestic regs comes under the normal WTD which can be opted out of completely

EU regs comes under the drivers WTD

The two do not get added together

Domestic work cannot count as rest for EU regs
