Have you got any of the food service companies nearby? Brakes, bidfood, blakemores all consider new passes.I’m not sure it’s worth the cost of getting your class 1. You’ll still have the lack of experience and the pay isn’t significantly more than class 2.

I don’t think theres a Brakes near me, but there may be a bidfood or blakemores I shall look into it. I actually sore a class 1 job advertised recently near me for £8.50 an hour.
If there is a shortage of drivers I doubt theres one up hear in the north east.

£8.50 for Teeside is on the low side of things but not far off for here
