Provisional for C+E?

Hi guys,

Just a quick question. I’ve passed my Cat C (Class 2) roughly 6 months ago and now want to go ahead and book my C+E (Class 1) training. As I understand it I don’t need to resit another Theory/Hazard perception because I’ve already passed it for the Cat C and it’s less than 2 years later so it hasn’t expired.

Can I go straight ahead and book the training or do I need to send off for a Cat C+E provisional (if one exists)? I’d assume the Cat C entitlement would automatically give you the right to learn in Cat C+E?

Thanks in advance

No your cat C license is your C+E provisional

C is the CE provisional and if you want to confirm that you can check your provisional entitlements online = gov.uk/view-driving-licence

I suggest you take a look at the Christmas Offer above.

And yes, you have provisional CE.

All the best, Pete

That’s a relief, thanks for clearing that up guys
