How long should I wait to get my Class 1?

Hello,

Just looking for opinions really. I am currently working at Palmer & Harvey and am almost finished with the probationary period (12 Weeks) but was curious on how long of a gap should I have between doing my Class 2 and Class 1. Some have said a year, or maybe even two. others have said, don’t wait.

Just get it done,even if you don’t use it straight away it’s there for when you want to.

Do it when you can afford it, why wait?

When you have the cash spare, do it. But don’t go into debt for it unless there’s a firm job offer to back it up.

Have a look at the Sponsor Thread. There’s a daft competition where it could end up costing you just £150 for CE.

I done my class1 training and test 6 weeks after passing class 2

If you’re confident enough with class 2 go straight to class1

As soon as you can afford it, as said even if you don’t use it. It is there when you are ready. My uncle had his class 1 for 19yrs before he used it as he was happy on his 7.5t gig he had until then. [emoji846]
