Hi all I am a new driver and getting my head around the tacho rules but I am wondering does the other work count as the 9 hour a day driving time or is it purely the hours that the tacho has recorded as driving that count towards it?

Driving is just that driving
Other work is other work
Poa is poa
Break is break
Add them all together and you get your shift
Ok thanks so I could say drive for 7 hours then do 4 hours other work throughout the day

You could drive for 10 hours and do 3.5 hours other work with 1.5 hours of breaks in a 15 hour shift
