Motorway bridge police van

Hi all maybe a stupid question but everytime I go Glasgow on a bridge near Gretna the same police van is parked on a bridge overlookin the motorway…Anyone know if this is to catch speeders or people on mobile phones or trucks not worthy of road etc just curious if anyone’s been fined by it■■?

Is there a Dunkin Donuts or Maccy D’s close by?

It’s aimed at vehicles travelling southbound to catch speeders. Coming round the long bend you can’t see it until it’s too late. No need to worry if you’re in a wagon because you shouldn’t be able to speed on the motorway. Unless you’re Irish of course.

Yes they’re right I git caught about 18 months ago coming back from Glasgow just as I rounded the bend saw the van tucked away on the corner of the bridge. 80mph 3 points and a fine gutted then I was breaking the law and paid the price for it.

Cheers for the replies…Someone said it’s high on a bridge to catch people using phones and eatin so you get done for not havin control of vehicle…Never heard the law on eatin while drivin b4…
