Of course the OP drove in the military, it’s not like it’s easy for them to check! 
As for getting work, you just sign up with a load of lying scumbags like the rest of us, and get the same rate as the rest of us. The only possible difference is that you’re probably not going to get put forward to that agencies best clients until you’ve proven yourself.
