Which boxes do I tick for applying for provisional LGV licence entitlement??

I passed my car test 1980 so have 7.5t on licence already.

Not for 3 years. …had medical today for lgv entitlement

My licence is back from Swansea…sent it away to have class 2 provisional added and it seems to have come back with the same categories as before…they haven’t said there was a problem though…any ideas??

Have you checked your licence online? Think you’ll find the back of your licence won’t change until you pass the practical test.

Just interested, is driving a bus similar to a rigid lgv? (apart from the customers) thinking of doing pcv test, as used to a large vehicle?

Yes, a bus is a truck with seats and windows. The major difference is that the front wheels are set back so this alters the steering dynamic.

But a decent CAT C driver shouldn’t really have huge troubles transferring to a bus.

The test is identical apart from the addition of bus stop procedure.

And that is pull into the stop. Align rear edge of door with pole or canopy, depending on type of stop. Then pull away and carry on.
