It depends on the company, i went for an interview about 5 years ago, had the interview, did the written driver regs test & then went for the driving assessment, i put my card in & as soon as i pressed no on the manual entries screen the trainer/assessor jumped on me (not literally) about me being at work for the last 35-40 mins so i should of made a manual entry to that factTechnically he’s right but as it was for an assessment he should have let it go but maybe casually mentioned it after or on your induction if you got the job .
I can see both sides of the argument, but as i wasn’t being paid can you really define the interview & exam as work?? As there voluntary & i could freely dispose of my time as in leave at any time ■■
I would of had to interrupt/break any rest period i was on for the driving assessment but that was at the end
