whats irritating is I’ve seen that big empty space on the right as you head towards that bridge because I’ve seen someone parked in it :open_mouth: I know its in the east of france but we nearly always use the RCEA from soutteraine to chalon so I can’t remember where it is :laughing: :laughing:

This is a term that the Germans lovingly call the English. It means Island Monkey.

The actual meaning behind it refers to the Germans forming the opinion that evolution did not quite hit the coast of Great Britain (Grossbrittanien).

But even the Germans came from the trees and bushes in North Africa and when they reached Europe became Neanderthals. Of course the Germans don’t want to believe that and think they are a higher ape. Funnily enough the Japanese and Chinese call all Europeans “Monkey Men” because we have an abundance of hair compared to them.

As a German speaker I can adjudicate here, Affe is the German for both ape AND monkey, they don’t appear to discriminate between monkeys and primates like we do.

BOING!!! I thought we were looking for a place in France called Inselaffe!!! :blush: I recognize the area but its dual now. Yeas ago we used that old road from Basel / Chalon on the way to Spain & Portugal. It maybe Monceau area? I look forward to finding out were this is on Memory Lane.
