rate enquiry

Thanks to those who answered my fuel consumption question. I,ve come a conclusion on the rate for a 17tonner question, it looks to me like about 94ppm what do you guys think, spot on or as mad as a fish?, cheers chris :unamused:

£1 would be better

of course that depends on the average mileage you’ll be doing per day - if it’s only local stuff that’s not enough

thanks fer that denis, the mileage would be about 65-75k miles a year, light weight stuff, high volume but only about 7 tonnes, cheers chris

Now I’m no owner-driver but common sense tells me you don’t want it on a ppm basis if you aren’t doing distance.

If you are doing distance then I think £1/pm is being optimistic for an 18 tonner. Dunno, try it and see.

If you’re doing locals then you need to agree a fixed rate between A and B, taking into account waiting/unloading time which you obviously can’t charge for unless it’s excessive.

Cheers.
