Squealing brakes

Hi iv got a new daf cf 8 wheeler done 6000kms. Brakes are squealing like hell it’s in daf next weekend 1st inspection just couldn’t wait for anybody else’s opinion. Driving me mad [emoji35]

Squealing brakes are usually down to brake dust. Only 6000kms seems a very short time to have accumulated that much brake dust.
Write it down on your defect sheet when you take it in for inspection, they might investigate.

Copper slip on back of pads. Fitters don’t use it, Mechanics do,

3rd or 4th axle for sure! Cheers

When all else failed a large band tightened around the drum with exhaust wrap inside usually worked.
