Hi all, I’ve put application in to change transport managers to nominate my self, but I’ve received a reply from Leeds asking how many hours a week I drive and how many hours on director duties I do. But every week and day is different.
Anybody with any guidance on the rights and wrongs of being a TM and a driver?
Theyll be just checking that you have enough time to do all your TM duties aswel as your driving.
Which obviously depends on how many trucks you run.
There is a table somewhere which states how long the CLO think you need to spend each week going on the number in your fleet
On a O licence with upto 2 vehicles, you need to have 2-4 hours per week available for Transport Manager duties. Your average total working hours must not exceed 48.
I had exactly this, I gave them an example of a working week and put that I had one half day per week in the office for TM duties.
