DAF LF55 180 (6 cylinder)
I suspect the vic unit may have been spiked for jump starting.
The problem is the is no speedo, odometer, and time displayed on the dash.
Ive tried a know good instrument display, still the same, the tacho (VDO 1324) was recording speed and distance OK on a chart, its coming due for a tacho check so not worried about seals, Ive tried another tacho head and still the same, and wiring looks good, making me think its the vic.
Im guessing a replacement VIC unit would need programing to the chassis? I have a Delphi diagnostics, when I connected it to this truck it wouldt commutate, but works OK on other DAF LF`s, could that be due to a faulty vic?
Would the Delphi be able to program the unit if needed? or would I need someone with a daf davie.
Any thoughts?
