On average two for four drops in Italy, a few collections then top up groupage at Gamco in Milan.
Garland Laidley in Porto, Portuguese round trips ,hanging garment trailer.
Euro PSL in Maldon, Essex, Scandinavian or Europe, aak for Andre Garcia.

Long time back, but most loads my ex company did for LKW were full weight too. The steel always had room to give groupage a free ride on the top if you weren’t too particular about such things!

You’d make more driving for Waberers, Hungarian driver at our place said they are on 2,100 to 2,300 euro for a 3 week month with a week off or do 4 weeks and get 3,000 per month

looks like the ■■■■ equivelant of a load of hanging on top of a load of steel.

What about Heritage?

Surely there must be at least a couple of decent (reasonable rates) forwarders that are looking for subbies.

Probably best to get it clear that LKW didn’t know that was going on. Just that particular small company’s way (in that era) of making a poor rate into a well paying job.
Of course it was only light groupage we put on.

Haven’t seen a British reg unit on Heritage in a long time.

I do see some British reg units pulling TNT trailers over here.

They have number plates made in England, and seem to operate from jcn 26 truck stop, on M25.
