DAF CF75 2007

Hi Guys and Girls,
I’ve had on again off again issues with a recently purchased 2007 DAF CF75 4x2 with ASTronic transmission but none of them has caused a failure, until now. The transmission warning lights are intermittently coming on and either neutralising the box or holding top gear with a warning light going to red and requesting me to stop. Cycle the key and it goes away after a couple of times. We’ve found broken harness wires in the loom every time near the entry to the cabin and the previous owners threw a gearbox harness and reco trans at it prior to me buying. Last trip it did was 3700 miles and around 30 minutes from home it shut shown at 60mph completely and cranks but won’t fire at all. Fuel was starved to the filters but has since been bled and fuel is up to the fuel rail but nothing from injectors when cranking?? Any ideas guys?? Only codes are low air and transmission code now on the screen. Great truck to drive just gotta get onto the the wiring which I understands is a full time job on its own. Cheers

Have you pulled the tank sender for a look see?
Fuel filter housings can rot and the slightest weeniest leak from any of the pipe unions on the filter head can cause all sorts of fun!

Yeah checked the lines and sender units and it is getting fuel with no air and holding to the rail. Not sure if electrical issue causing no fuel release at injectors. Cleaned out fuel primer pump when I first got it as it was full of ■■■■■ back then.
