Just sorting out a waste licence and I feel a little confused and wondering if I’m missing something. It would appear that I can apply on a .gov website and pay £154 for one. If so why do other wesites offer them at £250? is it the same licence and am I applying for the right licence on the .gov website?
Are you looking at carrier or carrier broker there’s a difference .

Once when I renewed I made that mistake or rather the Ea did ,if you only want to carrier waste then it’s carrier only ,if you want to unload in your yard or store for even a short time iam sure its carrier broker or dealer which is more money .
Sorted now. What a rip off. Nobody is even interested if I know anything about waste (I don’t) just pay up and print it off kerching.gov
Its a farce really, i can take 25 ton of steel to a customer, if for quality reasons it gets rejected and its decided to send it on to Scunthorpe to be melted back down its then reclassified as scrap and i have to have a waste license to carry the exact same load thats never left my trailer!
