I am in debate with an aquantance who carries containers he believes any over load is the responsibility of the shipper and he is completely free from blame. I suggest that he is guilty of an absolute offence and he carries the can. I carry sand and gravel etc I doubt I could blame Tarmac for my problem.

We don’t have consignne, responsibility over here. Down to driver to ensure the vehicle is fit for the road
the RHA was advocating consignor liability (mostly small hauliers ) but the FTA was against it as its members were large consignors. and like the posts before your truck your fault.
