Volvo FH13 Euro5 DPF

Hi, having just had a quote of £4000 by a main dealer to replace the exhaust box/ DPF,
I wondered if anyone on here had any experience of fitting an aftermarket one which are available for around half the quoted price above.
Don’t have any problem fitting it myself, and have access to fault resetting equipment, just wondering about the quality of non genuine parts and any comments from anyone who have done this ,would be appreciated .

Wash or burn the old unit clean. Why buy a new one?

There are companies out there that do an exchange unit

I think the mob we used were called Dr dpf from the West Midlands and it was around £500 exchange, once we took ours of they collected it the next time they were in the area…

Yes I’ve seen the adverts for the refurbished ones, some are only offering a 6 month warranty… would like to know if they do last a good bit longer than that before I’d consider that option.
