Had it on the dafs where the grains of rice sized chip in the ign key has become loose because keys dropped causing non start, open key put chip back in its little slot and away it went, I assume the ign barrel code reader has a very short range?
Works on an energy “ring”.The coil round the ignition barrel supplies a signal that needs the chip to supply a bit of lost code.Best way is to tape or glue the chip near the energy ring.If you drop the key it will still work because it will still unlock the steering lock but the chip will always be in place.And how many times do we drop the bloody keys?
