CMR INSURANCE

The policy is calculated for so much value per ton of what is carried .
On my paperwork to sign on my CMR , I claused it after loading with this :
Shippers load, stow and count.
Which means I am not responsible for goods missing due to the consignee not counting correctly , so the consignor can’t claim the loss of your CMR insurance .
Take photos of the load .
If possible, get a trailer that can be sealed with a TIR cord.
Clause the CMR to sealed at loading point with seal number 1234,on a multi drop,
reseal it with another seal .
A trailer with holes in the roof, sides or floor is asking for trouble for damaged goods and wet goods from rain getting in.
