Body builder drawings/ light trucks

I’m usually hanging around the old lorries page for fun, but am embarking upon some specialist body design work at the moment, so I thought I’d invade this peaceful place, to pick a few brains.

Does anyone have links for the manufacturers’ drawings/guidelines regarding the fitting of bodywork to their mass-produced 3.5tonne chassis cabs? I have downloaded one for the Transit, but it is the latest model, and I am more interested in the previous one (Mk6/7). In a similar vein, I have yet to find such information for the Sprinter, and have not even started to look for the Peugeot/Citroen/Renault stuff. I have a few basic Transit drawings, showing overall dimensions, but need to see things like maximum wheel deflection, standard bolt fixings, location of ancillaries etc.

Any help would be gratefully received. If my project yields wages, I might even part with the price of a pint or two!

I have no drawings ,but for merc & ford models from 77 to today we always use. 4 inch sub and 4 inch cross runners ,you can use less but it doesn’t look good . Have you tried ingermex or Dcb or Alloy bodies Manchester ?

Thanks ns. I had a look at the Sprinter .pdf, but could not find the drawings. Grrr. All I want are the dimensions of the chassis, including the suspension travel and the location of any standard bolt holes. A 3d CAD model of the chassis would be luxury!
