Another pic from the Scrapbook thread with a Southampton link

This time a pair of Molo Transport Fodens, I think that this pic was taken on 105/6 berth Southampton docks you can seee the container terminal in the distance. I know that Roger Whitehorn bought some of these Fodens from Molos and operated them for a while on containers.

Regards Pat

The Blue Star line vessel in the background was like Molo part of Union Cold Storage

Another picture obviously taken at the same time of the S83 Foden OYR 314 R

Union Cold Storage, also Union Cartage, and Weddells, all part of the vast Vestey empire which, among other things was the importer of Rotinoff tractors for their road trains in the Northern Territory of Australia.

Also a very early employer of mine (58 years ago) when I was nobbut a lad before even having a driving licence. Talking to those drivers delivering meat to the depots (Nottingham and Bedford) where I worked only served to re-inforce my fascination for all things lorry and made me determined to be a driver.
