J&R Adams Newcastle .

Remember when going scotch (if from the south), or going down to the smoke (if from the north), was long distance?
When Middle East work was readily available?.
When driving a 111 or F89 meant you were truly the king of the road?
Recall those companies long gone, where every day was an adventure?

What ever happened to those drivers you spent hours with.. where did they go? and recollect on those characters in the industry sadly no longer with us.
This forum is for us all to indulge in a little nostalgia and remember with rose coloured glasses how much better it was in the olden days

Well I never had the pleasure of driving one of these ERFs, But my son Nigel who still drives for Jakey had on of them with the MAN Engine along with the comfort shift, He liked it , Plenty of poke at 44 tonnes, Regards Larry.

Hi Oily, Thank you for posting these top class photos of Jakeys motors, My son Nigel drives a MAN, For them, Doing all sorts of work, Wide Loads , 65ft Long loads, J R Adams can handle any kind of work that firms ask for them to handle, Stay safe my friend, Regards Larry.
