Len Valsler Transport

Another LV subbie

Hello Len, I knew of J.T.Leyland from many years ago, usually up and down the M6 Motorway, but I did not know them other than that.
In the late 80s and early 90s, I had a Ford Transit for doing emergency runs for my customers, For example, These 2 pallets need to be
in Brussels no later than 12 noon tomorrow. It was originally a dropside flat with a low tilt type frame and PVC cover. I designed a
“Lift On-Lift Off” curtainsided bodywork, built for me by Simon Elston at Kabco Products in Wigan. I learned recently that it went to
J.T.Leyland of Milnthorpe when I disposed of it. First picture is when I stopped for a brew and a Jimmy Riddle between Limoges and
Brive in France, on my way to Figeac. The second picture is when J.T.Leyland had it, seen here about to board the Caledonian MacBrayne
ferry at Ardrossan to go across to Brodick, Isle Of Arran. Kind Regards, Ray Smyth.
