Does anyone remember Gallifords and sons based in Wolvey. The wagons were sky blue with a white shire horse logo, they were involved in civil engineering with class 2 hiabs and a 1 low loader leyland road train driven by a chap called Gordon Sides. I was just wondering if anyone remembered Gordon and his wagon?
I used to live on Leicester Road Wolvey across the road from Gallifords and worked for them about 1964,at that time they had BMC’s,would have been a few years before the roadtrains.I think they are still there but have taken over a few firms and got a bit bigger.
