I recall about 1987-8, when this Scania was new, heading down to the Gorbals from Aberdeen one morning. This was before the Dunblane bypass so we had to send our way through, slowly that morning as it happens.
Turned out on a right-hander just before the cathedral if I mind right one of Riddle’s lads had lost some of the sideways loaded pulp wood over the side. It had cleared the pavement and was lying in a couple of back gardens, one with a flattened shed!

Might be the result of the Dunblane incident that Gordon made the lads sheet the middle section of the loads Munchkin.
Amazing that so many of JGR vehicles could be photographed stationary.
Haha, always suspected they had a smaller fleet than sightings of their trucks suggested [emoji23].
Could well be right on the sheeting like, must’ve been over the coals for that.
