Maserati Muletto (light weight truck)

Maserati produced light weight trucks in 1940 to 1944 and in 1948 to 1952.
After the move of production and office from Bologna towards Modena, with
the Neptune trident (as per the statue on Bologna’s city-square) and the red
and blue colours of the Bologna-flag, batteries and sparkplugs were made in
the years of the occupation. The electrical Muletto had a 6.5hp engine, single-
plate clutch, a 4-speed transmission and hydraulic brakes. The Diesel-version
from 1948 to 1952 produced 15.5hp, was water-cooled and had independent
spring suspension on the front-wheels.

The Muletto was delivered in a truck-, hearse- or tanker-body.
