Just seeing “Preston Farmers” brings back a memory of me going for a job interview with them, back in the early 80s.

They had a little warehouse type building on the moors outside Lancaster,

“Interview” was conducted on the shop floor, 2 other bods listening in, and consisted of
“ów long yoo driven for then”?
" 6 years class 2, Mr Smith, never had an accident" ( ok, That was a lie )
“Ahll let thee know. Off yoo goo lad”
