I’ve moved your post to where I think it will receive more views and discussion.
Knew Bill Young and his son Stan very well. We would work with them transhipping timber off the boats into the various merchants around South Shields Quay. Unfortunately the divers strike in 1979 did them a lot of harm and they closed up in the very early eighties.

IIRC, Stan had a firm called Geordie Express in the 90s at Simmonside, Mostly 4 wheelers, Regards Larry.
