Hi thorneypete1,
Tissue paper is one thing, but can anybody actually understand what’s written??
Text-speak isn’t understandable to everybody, and the forum rules are pretty clear that English is the posting language.
These days, even “peasents” can write some semblance of English.

I believe the OP is saying that he would not recommend Matthews of Great Yarmouth as being a good firm to work for from a driver’s point of view

Probably not everyone’s cup of tea but there are some long serving drivers on there who wouldn’t have a bad word said about the company, one man’s meat etc.
not a bad word ? there was a whole post of them there . any luck maybe they wont have understood any of it ,like 99% of everyone who read the first post.

Think about it.
Sorry mate. When I de-coded your post, I actually agreed with your point.

That bit makes sense.
It’s always easier to read a post which follows the usual rules of style and grammar but some folk are not so good at writing… doesn’t make any difference to the value of their opinions, it just means I might have to read their post a couple of times before I understand it.
Or, as already suggested, consume alcohol until I attain the level required to understand it
I understand every word that the man is saying… but it did take a few bottles of red wine to help me work it out
Maybe this could be of help to some of you

Look fellas Your a bunch off P taking so n soes (so n so’s). :shock
What the guy is trying to say is, How the hell can they get a way with paying £47 a day plus £35 night out. For a start its obviously below the minimum wage.! Also i was earning that twenty bloody years ago.
If like him and me you would be pretty incoherent ,if you had worked for 8 weeks and only been payed for three of them cause SCUMBAGS like sms n j adams Change names n screws us drivers for wages.
So give the guy a break will ya n start worrying which one of us will get shafted next.
Its about time we started doing something. With hungarians n bulgarians working for 800euros a month how safe is your job.
Tell yer boss to stop ■■■■■■■ under cutting each other and help each other instead, a novel idea i know. But if they don’t we’ll all be out of a job soon.
Oh and he’s from Sheffield. (could be worse could be Barnsley)

Just done a quick calculation, but would be nice to know if the figure you quote is before or after deductions. E 800 at the going rate of 1.20 eoros to the £ means that the Hungarians / Bulgarians are actually getting around £ 650 " a month "
Imagine lots of drivers would be happy with that if it was after deductions

What drivers do you know that would be happy with £650 a month? I expect that a week after deductions

Will be a helluva lot more unhappy if they only got that per month. Lets be honest anything less than £400 a week is a poor wage.
