Stuck in malaga

Hello from a newbie on the forum :smiley: :smiley:
Can anybody help i have a friend stuck in malaga because of the flight ban thats on.He is trying to get back to the uk asap with his wife and kids,he has over 10 yrs experience international driving and is willing to double man or even round trip back down to spain for free just so he can get the family home.The holiday has gone wrong from the start for him as he was not aloud on the plane in brum on sunday so we drove down sunday/monday just to get him to the holiday with the rest of his family and luckily i flew home just before air space was closed.We can now not get a boat anywhere or even the train :imp: :imp:
So is anybody able to help. many thanks ian

The only thing I can suggest is that they catch a train to Santander (via Madrid) and travel as foot passengers back to the UK on Brittany Ferries Portsmouth service. If he needs assistance there is a British Consulate in Malaga who would be able to offer help and advice.

if you drove down on the sunday and monday then flew back wheres the vehicle you drove down in? why don’t they come back in it? :confused: :confused:

hi mate we got a driver on leave from wedensday of this week pre loaded with freight for dartford not d/man if intreasted pm back asap he will need to produce licence 2 parts -digi card proof of address in uk [driver off for 3 weeks]he is based in malage but dont know were vehicle is 650 euros per week

sounds like a wolf job to me?
feel sorry for your mate stuck with family but the guardia take a serious stand on people in the cab, you can see the euro signs in their eyes :angry:

It was a L reg cavalier and its [zb] we drove it hard all the way if he could drive it back he would have

his passport was creased and the checkin clerk tore it then refused to let him on :imp: After he had his say they escorted him from the departure lounge :open_mouth: Strangest thing passport control at the train were ok we also got stopped down by bordeaux and that was ok it was just ryanair :imp: :imp:

flights from malaga to the UK back on tomorrow and tuesday’s not a timeshare changeover day here so should be ok to fly back
