Info on ferries between Italy-Sardinia and Corsica-France

We plan to spend the winter (Jan - March 2004) in Turkey with our motorhome and return via Sardinia and Corsica. We hope to be there April/May time.

I’m looking for info on the ferries that run between Civitavecchia (Italy) and Olbia (Sardinia) and then Corsica and the French mainland…

If anybody has any observations on these ferries or could recommend which ones to use we would be very grateful.

I’ve trawled the web sites of the ferry companies plying these routes but there’s nothing better than personal recommendation.

Thanks

Don

Don,
Have you tried VIAMARE TRAVEL LTD.?
They’re the British agents for most of the Mediterranean ferries, including to/from Sardinia and Corsica.

Don’t forget to mention you found out about them through TRUCKNET.UK

Graham,

Thanks for the info.

I’m familier with Viamare but I’ve never found them very helpful. As we travel out of the main tourist season there is no need to book ferries in advance.

I’ve visited the ferry websites and I was hoping for some personal recemendations.

The line from cittavechia , was and might still be “Moby line”, hope that helps, the ships were, er, well they floated anyway…
