The Norwegian Public Roads Administration at the Authority and the regulations believe that the ongoing corona virus constitutes an extraordinary circumstance that makes it possible to grant an exemption from some of the driving and rest regulations. The exemption applies to transport of articles related to life and health such as:
Food distribution and related industries, including fuel distribution
commodity Transport
Animal feed and transport of live animals
Transport of medicines and medical equipment
Distribution of equipment to hospitals and other public institutions.
The exemption applies from 13 March 2020 and for 30 days.
