French licence Brit passport

Hi all,

I’ve been away from driving for quite a while and am looking to return to it but not too sure how. I’ve lived in France fifteen years and have a current clean French C1E licence.

I’m not limited to where I’ll go for work or how long I spend away…any advice gratefully received.

Thanks, Chris

You need a current drivers CPC and Tacho card to do any HGV driving over here

If he has a French c+e he will already have the equivalent of CPC

Stay in France , it’s a much better job and way of life here

Only if he’s passed his FIMO/FCO, the French equivalent of the UK CPC.

Having the licence, doesn’t mean he has the driver qualification.

^^^^^^ Definitely this. Plenty of work here in France.

Thanks for the replies, will be soon going on the course to get FCO, it seems to me like the licence is increasingly becoming sought after and the salaries are making it more worthwhile than it used to be? Thanks again
