Wow, that´s a bad salary...Spain. I still have my job alerts running. Got sent this...
CE licence experience with forklift and tail lifts. 3 years driving experience. Load and unload cargo 1400 Euros a month. Saturdays and Bank Holidays extra. https://www.indeed.es/ver-oferta?jk=615 ... 2v4372o94r And a mixer driver job, at the plant I was looking for work at last month....1200-1300 euros. I mean, wtf? Whatever I type, it is always with a smile on my face and my tongue firmly in my cheek. Unless I´m serious

Re: Wow, that´s a bad salary...What, didn't you live there before?
Re: Wow, that´s a bad salary...
I did, for 13 years, and that concrete batching plant is just up the road from where I want to go back to. But I wasn´t looking for driving jobs then. If I was still there now, I´d probably apply, grudgingly ![]() . But a move from UK back to there? Nopè, too much hassle and expense. (And uncertainty as to what´s happening with DCPC) Whatever I type, it is always with a smile on my face and my tongue firmly in my cheek. Unless I´m serious

Re: Wow, that´s a bad salary...Over here and I presume Spain is probably the same, you get a set hourly rate for a "guaranteed" 38 hour week, if you work less than the 38 you will still get the wage, anything over that 38 is on an overtime rate on a graded system, first xx hours 25% next xx hours 50% , then obviously higher set rates for w/ends and Bk/hols.
Not sure about Spain but here in France you get allowances that are "TAX FREE" : breakfast, lunch, evening meals, night allowance and others. Wages can be low in Europe, but if you stay below a certain threshold on the taxable income, you wont get taxed, money is made up on the tax-free allowances. Here the tax year is Jan - Dec and last year I earned for 9 months, salary around € 18,000, brought up to € 34,000 with my allowances. Before you knock it, find out what extras/add-on's are added.
Re: Wow, that´s a bad salary...That´s good info, thanks
