Another low bridge (9ft) hit in kent

Don’t know how to put link up on here. A 7.5 t @ 10ft 7 truck had a go at getting under a 9 ft bridge .Its on the Kent- online site if anyone knows how to post the link. It says they had to cut him out I think that was because they could not open doors in the tunnel worth a look

Smaller than a 7.5 tonnes, I think. Looks like a Sprinter - maybe 3.5 tonne GVW?

pmsl don’t these reporters know what a lorry is :unamused:

love this quote

One witness said: “A gentleman in the park said that the driver told the police he was tired and didn’t think about the height of the lorry.”

It’s not always the poor Driver’s fault . . .

. . . sometimes they tarmac the road under the bridge overnight without
telling anyone.

Juggernaut lol

It would need an awful lot of Tarmac to build the road surface up by 1’ 7"

1 foot 7 inch is nothing to a Paddy on piece work.

3.5tonne sprinter by the looks of it and def not cut out either by the pictures
must be have been doing a nice little speed he took the roof clean off it
I suppose when u tired u never check the bridge heights and all things look bigger then they are !!!

Wouldn’t let him loose in a HGV if he can do that with just a Sprinter van. What an arse!

It’s a 600cf 7.5t with gas boxes in the back, so likely a BG vehicle with a non-LGV driver in it. This bridge is a rat run for cars in the morning when there’s traffic problems on the A2 rainham road.
Must have forgotten a 600cf is around 10’7" in height!

The DAF was dragging it out

The guy has probably been driving for the past 24hours.

Good but it was only an ad made in the 80’s to show the dangers of low bridges.

Looks like a 5t sprinter which are a little taller then a 3.5t sprinter
