passed them dudes on tuesday wondered how long they had been there

that’ll be a very nice earner.

I passed them on Tuesday going to cjlaing there was another wide load in the vosa layby at the premier inn on the kingsway wonder if he was part of this group. Imagine being stuck on the outskirts of scumdee for a week probably stayed on the outskirts in case the junkies mugged them. They have a van could go into town every night and get pished may aswell enjoy it :stuck_out_tongue:

Nice onesie. :sunglasses:
Ill wager they couldnt give a monkeys, fair play to them .As long as their paid by the hour

Them Wilson boys will be getting paid well enough for sitting there

The joys of trucking.

Spent a week at Alverca TIR park in Portugal waiting for a load home once and thought that was bad, but sitting in a layby waiting to tip now thats something else…

I wonder if they’ve worked out 9 down and 22 across yet.

Me thinks after the 2nd night there (or maybe only the first) at 0 or less degrees and continuing snow, I’d be having serious discussions with the boss regarding moving to a hotel.

God, hope they don’t think all of Scotland is like Dundee

They can think themselves lucky they don’t work in the USA because they wouldn’t get a penny in wages for the week.
(except on my company that is fair and pay’s for such things)

when i was an O/D i got stuck on the Romanian border for 2 weeks, it was just after the new year when i spent that in Czech, but unbeknown to me, the Rumo`s had decided to change their import tax system, to one where the importer has to pay the tax once the goods have entered to country, this was because the goods used to be stored in custom warehouses, until the goods were collected, thereby using them as storage areas, so, my delivery, which was one of 5, ( Czech, Hungary, Rumo, Bulgaria, Greece ) anyway, customs wouldnt let me go, until the tax had been paid, that involved getting a message to the main importer, then they had to get the money together, then get it to Cluj Napoca, then get it to the frontier where i was patiently waiting, so i was in close proximity to a restaurant, a bar showers etc, but none the less, spent 2 weeks there, the good news was Cluj agreed to pay me for my wasted time, but that was after i refused to deliver the goods, until, they agreed to pay.

Just past the layby (Monday 5am) and thy are gone, for those following this story

i also passed them lads last week … i spent a week in harrys truck stop in greece once waiting for a load … also did 5 days in swiss because of paperwork before i could deliver a load

Longest Ive spent in one place was a week on the Hungarian/Serbian border at Horgos on route to Kosovo with humanitarian aid…just because the Serbs didn’t like where I was heading…they tried everything in their power to hold me up but when the British Embassy got involved they sooned backed down

If they had carried on a bit further just past the truckstop there is a Cinema complex on the left with a KFC, Macdonalds an Indian Restraunt and a Premier Inn hotel with a “Toby Carvery” type pub, that is plenty of free parking at the rear of the cinema that they could have got onto. They couldn’t have been that far if they spent hours in the Tesco’s as that is just over the road from the cinema. Thats where I would have headed for without a doubt
