Accident in snow

Don’t no how old this is but worth a look if link works deredactie.be/cm/vrtnieuws/m … /1.1262198

:open_mouth:

Bloody hell that looks bad.

This is now the 3rd post with this video… I know it was spectacular and scary, but it’s getting a bit boring now!

According to the translation of the article the driver survived the accident, he’s a lucky bloke I’d say :open_mouth:

Having said that the driver of the tow truck appears to be wearing a yellow hi-viz but when he jumps out he’s wearing an orange hi-viz, could have changed drivers I suppose :confused:

Actually this one shows a bit beforehand & you can see there’s a driver in the artic as well (I did wonder as it looked as if the artic was steering itself), but no sign of him jumping out…

haha

Hi all.Unfortunately all this accident has done[apart from the damage]has further increased the Norwegians already healthy dislike of ‘‘new Europeans’’ driving in Norway in the winter.No Orys,it wasn’t a pole,it was a lithuanian :unamused:.Watching the Norwegian news last night,the police spokesman was complaining again about the lack of equipement and education of foreign truck drivers who drive in Norway in the winter and was saying that the controls will be further sharpened in view of this as the consequenses could have been far worse.‘‘Due to the tight budget which some companies have,[his words,not mine]they are either not willing,or unable to invest in the equipement which driving in Norway demands.This has to be addressed’’ he said.Mike

Looks like the trucker wants a slap for even going up there, hopefully they’ll take the cost of the truck out of his/her wages :smiling_imp:

We should have a quotation competition for what the translation is for the what the guy says as the truck is going down the hill

How about : “And that’s how you get the foreigners off our roads”

Just simply “Watch this, it’ll be brilliant” or perhaps “Fasten your seatbelt, I wanna try something!”

“Watch this Dmitri, this will be posted on TNUK three times in the next 2 days!” :smiley:

Translated, the caption reads as follows;

In Norway, a spectacular accident happened to a truck and a tow truck. The truck was stuck on a snowy slope. When a tow truck tried to pull the truck, it went wrong. The truck slid off the road and dragged along the tow truck into the abyss. The driver of the tow truck was just in time to escape. The trucker bellowed in his cab down the slope. But as if by a miracle he survived the crash. He walked away with a few fractures. (raw images Gunn Iren Johnsrud/TV2 - 02/04/12)

This video was actually shown on Sky News 11pm last night (Monday 2nd April) as if it had just happened, they said the lorry driver suffered broken bones and the tow truck driver jumped clear before it went over
