Free Beer.

Free pint of beer when parking at the Hollies truckstop off junction 12 by the M6,head east to Cannock.
Parking is £12,with a meal voucher it is £17,i had a cracking sausage casserole, with fresh veg, mash, all homemade.
There is a new lounge upstairs, the cleaner will give you a token to get your free beer.
The place gets full up very quickly. The girls working there are always polite and friendly, you can even buy muscle rub ointment,as i had a twinge, due to old age.

it may have been the muscle rub that gave you the twinge

Thats a cracker.

toby thats a naff offer well for me it is

lol as its literally 5 mins from where I run out of , although the foods nice as I do nip in there every so often if im not out on a job

Free■■? looks like it costs £12 to me.
Plenty of other places where you can park and get 4-5 pints for that price

Only one cable ■■?

Plenty for an empty trailer and unit

would it not be likely to twist the trailer fastened to the aris end like that ■■?

I would have winched from low down onto the top drive axle wheels

No.

Some recovery outfits would because it’s quicker and easier. But not working for us you wouldn’t.

Mind, if you want to find out exactly how much tension a shock absorber can take (because that’s the only mechanical link between axle and chassis in the vertical plane), then crack on.
But after the shocker has ripped in two/off, don’t expect the airbag to hold the axle to the chassis

If you had to lift a telegraph pole and stand it up on one end by hand, which would require the most effort, lifting from one end or lifting it from the middle?
Same applies here, you’ll exert much more force pulling at the drive wheels than by pulling at the very top.

true, depends on the angle the vehicle is lying at i suppose

Thought this was an advert for my mate’s band  They call themselves “Free Beer”. They always get a good crowd when the poster says “Free Beer - The ■■■’s Arms, Sat. xxth. at 8.30 p.m.”

Apparently old/stale beer is bought from the breweries by farmers for feeding pigs on. Until they crash their tankers:

Must have took a while to shovel that lot up
Cant recall ever seeing a pig driving a tanker though   . .
must be an Angus Nairn joke in there somwhere ?

Ha ha, totally missed the Pigs/Police link there mate

For the record, thats a Police man with the shovel, not a pig wanting his beer feed
