One person has been killed after an articulated lorry and an oil tanker collided in Perth and Kinross.
The crash happened at about 16:30 on the A977 at Crook of Devon.
Tayside Police said that, due to a large spillage of fuel from the oil tanker, a 200m exclusion zone had been put in place.

Sounds like another bad one.
I was just down at Kinross and the road closed off from the services.
Im not saying a word bad but i made a thread about this road a few month ago about artics overtaking artics, that road is like a lorry highway so heavily used and its becoming ridiculous the kind of manoeuvres being done. I had a turners tanker pull a suicidal move on me the other week and i was doing a reasonable 45mph!
just got a text from a mate who was caught up in the hold up. The artic is apparently an Asda motor.
■■■■. What makes you think its an asda motor?
Sadly my guess is the tanker driver…the entire cab came off.
RIP drive

Might as well merge them mods.
the guy i got a text from about the accident said it was Asda, but it also says Asda on STV news. Although there are conflicting reports as to whether its an Asda lorry, or a home delivery van.
“The driver of the van, a Mercedes Sprinter carrying Asda deliveries, was taken to Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline with minor injuries”
The bloody cab came off the unit. It really makes you think doesn’t it?
This guy just went out to do his job, driving a [zb]ing truck.
RIP drive and thoughts with his family and work mates.
Asda ADC have been up in arms all night in the confusion of whom it actually was.

RE “Lanarkshire lass”
Our thoughts are with you and your family ,
Am up that way twice a week , some of the road is really bad .
Hope lessons are learned from this tradgety .
It’s nice that lanarkshirelass has taken the time to come on here.
Sadly, you’ll find a few lads on here who have been in your position and that of those who stop to help.
Being a young un’ and ex blue light myself it’s such a shame that this has happened. My heart really goes out to you and your family.
Chris.
