having been offline for 6 months i wouldnt know and i am not after a discussion about the incident. im just curious about how people would react in that situation with a car coming at them on the wrong side of the road. personally i would plough straight into them as they are clearly liable

Assuming lane 2 is not clear i would slam the anchors on so the impact isnt as severe for me, i wouldn’t give a ■■■■ about the oncoming car.
But i think lane 2 was clear as you see the slight swerve he just didnt have enough reaction time to do anything. It was that slight swerve that sent him over not the impact, that is a andrew black lorry full of bricks by the looks of it and if it wasn’t for that swerve he would have went right over the top of it.
That A90 at rush hour in my humble opinion is a ■■■■■■■ death trap, from stonehaven to aberdeen.
i thought it was the swerve that caused the rollover rather than running over the car. you would think the front steps would be strong enough to withstand an impact to prevent the front wheel from running over something but i doubt they would do much judging by the number of units i have seen with the bottom step missing. im surprised they take the weight of a person

Depends on the unit, i had a merc actros and a beemer hit my o/s stair ripped the side of his car open like a tin opener - i only had a scartch on the stair that was about 40mph.
Then in that snow at Christmas just there i was in a daf cf, slid into a little med-evil wall at about 2mph(barely moving i even applied the park brake to try and stop the ■■■■■■ ) and my n/s stair disintegrated.

Personally I think you are full of crap as anyone who is faced with an oncoming car or bike will try to avoid it, if you see a pigeon flying towards the windscreen. I bet you duck.

As it took 1.5 seconds from the car first appearing until the impact i would say there isn’t an awful lot you can do.
