Roadside wrecks

After driving around for a few years now with the advantage of sitting high up and looking over hedges I have seen some amazing things in gardens and farms and fields I was wondering if any one had any pictures or and storys to share , I mentioned it in my blog but wanted to start a fresh topic here as well

This has sat on the M50 (think) since before I can remember and has featured on my blog today.

Any pictures apreciated

A couple of years ago this had a pro-hunting banner on it, as did the trailer in the fields almost opposite!! I thought such a huge chunk of junk left where it was rather exemplified what they really thought of the countryside

Old tractors and Land Rovers are the things I look out for…

Did see a 360 that had sunk up to the cab near the Little house on the Prairie a few years ago…

Fave though had to be the naked Totty on a sun lounger in a garden in Hampshire, had a very neatly trimmed bush… :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing:

Yep its a right eye sore nowdays.

Thats a picture , brilliant, How do you get close to it though ? I see so many on the road but they just go past so fast. I saw a crane near our depot with a tree growing out of it I am going back in the car to get a picture as soon as I get a chance.

Keep em coming .

Its an old Bedford IIRC ex military and still in use ! its used to shift logs around the woodyard.

I went to a farm near Dunham Massey(Altrincham) today. He had in the barn an old rusting steam traction engine, 2 or 3 old rusting tractors (masseys i think), and an old wooden sided single axle tipping trailer.

The old trailer was built in 1964 according to the ministry plate, rated at 11 tons and last MOTd in 1974. Repeater plate on the back was from a 1964 Breg tractor unit.

He was alos in the process of “restoring” these vehicles, But he said the same thing 2 years ago the last time i went.

He had got a restored (to showroom condition!) 1940s ish saloon car, dont know what it was his wife was flying out of the gate when i saw it !!

These are a few I saw today including one that looked lost !!! :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

can you spot the odd one out?

That boat is not in a field like the other two

Not a roadside wreck but has anyone else seen the house on the A41, between the A5 and the A518, with all the garden ornamens and stuff■■? What a mess :open_mouth:

I pass that every once in a while always see something different each time. There is a similar one at Greenlaw in the Scottish borders thats a bit messier due to having at least 5 rabbit hutches on the front lawn as well as all the bits of vehicles nailed to the fences :open_mouth:
