Suspect she hadn’t realised that it was in fire as I know from experience, you can’t see the smoke initially when inside the car if it’s an engine fire.
Full marks for making sure she got the heck away from that. They do go bang very quickly and suddenly (one reason I’ve mostly driven diesels).
Not sure if they need the over dramatic stuff on the screen, but guess that’s the modern thing.
