Preferably Class 1 (that’s what I’m aiming for). West Cardiff would be nice, but Newport and perhaps Bridgend would be ok, too, if the company’s great.

Depends on what you call the “best”. Pretty much all the firms pay crap wages in South Wales.
Most drivers form Cardiff don’t work in Cardiff.
Best get yourself over the border where the proper money is.
What type of work do you want?
Days? Nights? Tramping?
As already said - you ain’t gonna get rich with a welsh firm so if you are chasing £££ head East over the bridge.
Marshall’s in Newport will be the best paying firm around there by a very long shot.
