Just to add; all of our MAN’s used to default to break when the ignition was switched off. They all went one by one back to MAN who adjusted them to stay on whatever mode that it was on prior to the ignition being used. IMO if it must default to anything then break is far better than other work as can be seen by the problems some above posters have experienced.
