Anyone know if the new tachos will resolve the stupid anomaly that occurs when you enter over 30 minutes POA (and sometimes 15 mins POA) and your on board truck system thinks you’ve taken a break?
Caught me out a couple of times that one.
Allegedly, it’s only an anomaly in the UK as POA can count as break on mainland Europe, so no it won’t change anytime soon.
Tacho regs in the UK are the UK interpretation of the EU regs, which may or may not be a 100% accurate interpretation of those regs, which is stated on every publication by the UK of the EU regs, and also states to seek legal advice on matters contained within the UK interpretation, and yes they have got it wrong in the past.

Well according to the EU POA counts as break so, the two hours 15 POA, and 45 break are being taking off.
