Apparently a Pertemps Agency Gist driver unknowingly hit the parapet of a bridge (near Stone■■?) at the weekend and didn’t realise it till flashed up.
Sadly for him
(a) he was on a road with a 7.5 tonne weight limit
(b) it was a rail underbridge and the repair and delay costs so far have come in at around err £1.5m.
Needless to say he won’t be around long with Gist!
Just hunting around with Google maps, is the closest I can get to the bridge shown in the pics. But, it’s such an obvious no-no from the main road that makes me doubt it.

Agency driver delivered to Jewsons in Dover , working for Jewsons , left the delivery point then hit the railway bridge 200m down the road with the hydraulic clamp/lifter which he had failed to secure in the running position. He then tried to reverse out and collided with a passenger bus . He than vacated the cab and ran away .
The road was closed for 4 months while the bridge was repaired , the rail line was closed (it’s a main line ) for two weeks with a replacement bus service running then run at a restricted speed until repaired .
The cost ran into many millions of £s .

didnt know the make bridges out of cheese
They had to stop doing that when the rodents got to 'em.
It was the bridge over the line on Worston lane in Little Bridgeford, it’s tight enough in a car let alone anything bigger if you meet someone coming the other way
