We’ve had this discussion many times on here. The driving licence medical is largely a box ticking and form filling exercise, and apart from the blood pressure and sight test, doesn’t really involve much in the way of an examination regardless of who fills in the forms.
If you want a proper medical examination, go and get one done (preferably by your own GP), but don’t be surprised when it takes a lot longer than the 10 minute DVLA job.
